Questions to ask about direct billing
Check the practical details of your plan before arranging physiotherapy or another clinic service.

Guide
Direct billing means a clinic can submit an eligible claim to an insurer. It does not mean every appointment is covered in full. Max Physiotherapy offers direct billing for eligible plans, and reception can help you check the arrangements for the service you are booking.
Before your visit, ask your insurer whether the service and practitioner are covered, whether a referral or prescription is required and what documentation you need. Your policy may set limits or leave an amount for you to pay. The insurer is the source for the details of your own coverage.
Then contact the clinic to confirm whether it can bill that plan directly for the appointment. Ask about the fee and what happens if a claim cannot be processed at the time of the visit. If direct billing is unavailable, confirm the payment and receipt arrangements with reception.
Care connected to a car accident, a workplace injury or a publicly funded program may follow a different process. Mention the type of appointment when contacting reception so you can ask about the appropriate paperwork and next step. Approval or eligibility is not established by making a website enquiry.
Keep policy documents, health card details and clinical records out of general website messages. Call the clinic at (403) 453-5000 to ask how to provide any information it needs.
