What is the Virtual Physiotherapy Experience?

Virtual Physiotherapy | Max Physiotherapy | Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage and Health & Wellness Clinic | NE Calgary

Virtual physiotherapy can be an effective way to accurately diagnose and treat many conditions, when in-person sessions are impossible or undesirable. Many times, diagnosis of a problem is based on a client’s symptom history and seeing them move, rather than ‘feeling’ the diagnoses, which makes virtual physiotherapy a successful option. Education and exercise therapy are key to any physiotherapy program and can be effectively administered during a virtual session. Virtual physiotherapy relies on techniques that the patient can do themselves to help improve or better manage their condition, which typically promotes high adherence to the treatment plan.

Whether it is a first assessment, or a follow-up session, your virtual session will be one-on-one with an experienced professional.

What does a Virtual Consultation Look Like?

Virtual Physiotherapy Consultation | Max Physiotherapy | Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Massage and Health & Wellness Clinic | NE Calgary

Your Max Physiotherapy professional will first discuss with you the details of your pain, how it affects you, and what you are not able to do because of it. Then, a movement assessment will be done, whereby you will move different joints, nerves, muscles, and functional movements. A walking analysis may be performed if required. Using a variety of tools, you will then be educated on the diagnosis of your injury. You will then be given tricks and tips to help alleviate your pain and heal your injury. You will be provided with a thorough exercise program to do at home. Your exercise performance will be thoroughly evaluated, and you will be given tips and cues to be even more effective.
